OUAPS X ABACUS BOAT PARTY
Our annual Boat Party, which takes place on the London Thames each year, is co-hosted by the Oxford University APS and the Cambridge University ABACUS. One of the largest inter-collegiate events in the country, this is one night of themed opulence you simply can't miss!
We host speaker sessions and seminars with leading academics, politicians, business leaders, and public figures. Notable figures include Nobel Peace Prize recipient José Ramos-Horta and celebrity Jackie Chan.
Oxford is a diverse University, but it can be alienating to navigate when you're just one among tens of thousands of students. We provide our members a strong sense of community with students of similar backgrounds and experiences.
We organise an array of events that offer members the opportunity to showcase and experience Asia-Pacific cultures, often in collaboration with the diverse array of other Asian societies at Oxford. Events such as our annual Asian Food Festival and Formal Halls are particularly well-attended. (Pictured: Asian Food Festival)
Our society promotes community involvement and engagement for causes that pertain to the Asia-Pacific region through our community events—here, students either actively work with certain causes or learn about existing efforts to better the community.
